Business System Analyst

We’re looking for a full time Business System Analyst for strong application support, end-user training and reporting experience for our fast-growing company with a collaborative, team-focused culture.  We work with clients in multiple industries but have a particular specialty in the healthcare industry with hospitals, doctors and dental groups.  We look for people who have not just the technical skills but also the communication ability to work well with clients and team members no matter their level of tech-savvy.  This is a group floor opportunity to come onboard and learn a new healthcare billing system that one of our key clients is about to deploy.

In your role as Business System Analyst, you will be responsible for learning one of our key client's electronic billing systems.  Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in all training provided by the software vendor
  • Assist with the application go-live at 6 facilities
  • Providing "how-to" support for end user questions about application functionality post-go-live
  • Providing refresher training to hospital employees who need further education on company processes in using this new application
  • Interface directly with the vendor on application issues
  • Develop facility relationships and nurture super-users at each facility 
  • Provide as needed daily remote support
  • Provide assistance with the creation of statistical reports across a number of different modules

This role will include both telephone and remote support as well as occasional onsite work. Successful candidates will be strong in communication (written and verbal, time management, project management, application concepts, and data analysis/reporting. 

This position requires a high level of independence and strong client service skills. Organizational ability is important to keep track of all tasks, because the job requires a great deal of multi-tasking. This is not a job for someone who wants to do the same thing from day to day – there is a lot of variety and a lot of opportunity. Required Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 3 or more years of experience in a tier 2 application support environment
  • 1 or more years of experience in data reporting
  • End user training experience
  • Superior business analytic and business intelligence aptitude experience
  • Understanding of (or desire and ability to learn) healthcare claim data and payor contracts
  • Experience creating and producing multiple reports from multiple data sets to support daily operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting financial applications and knowledge of GL and financial reporting structures
  • Experience as a business systems analyst including build/configuration/training/support
  • Experience in healthcare data reporting (preferably in hospital back office/revenue cycle setting)
  • Microsoft Access and SQL proficiency a plus
  • Experience with Data visualization tools a plus
